Building Consumer Crypto Apps Powered by Player Identity

Over the next few months, we’ll be rolling out a series of exciting updates that take our Fan Apps to the next level—delivering unparalleled scalability, performance, and monetisation options whilst providing richer fan experiences powered by player identity for our growing list of leading gaming partners.
3D Avatars with Faster Inventory

Avatars are coming to life! We’re transitioning from 2D to 3D avatars, enhancing the visual and interactive elements of our Fan Apps. We’ve added movement, too. Think life-like breathing to start and more complex animations in the future. To support this, we’ve refactored our inventory system, making it significantly faster and fully compatible with AAA, game-ready 3D assets.
AWS Migration for Enhanced Scalability
We’re expanding into new verticals with our Fan Apps: content creators and brands. To enhance scalability, we’ve initiated a migration to AWS. This will provide the infrastructure needed to support high-traffic events across multiple applications, ensuring that no matter how many fans engage simultaneously, the experience remains seamless.
Custom Rewards & In-App Shops
Superfans crave unique rewards! Thus, we are introducing custom rewards—from physical merch like team jerseys to digital perks like VIP tournament tickets—giving our partners plenty of new ways to reward their fans.
We’re also adding a shop section where fans can use in-app currency to purchase wearables and custom items. This allows fans to see the tangible value of their in-app progress. Shops will support XBG and partner fan tokens as in-app currency.
In-App Monetisation with Stripe

We’re integrating Stripe to enable premium subscriptions for Fan Apps. Our partners can soon gate exclusive quests, events, and shop items for paying subscribers. Providing a seamless way for partners to generate recurring revenue while offering fans premium content.
Broadcast Notifications for Deeper Engagement
Fan engagement is about to become more dynamic with the introduction of customisable broadcast notifications. Our partners will soon be able to send targeted notifications to users directly from the admin panel. These notifications create new pathways for connecting with fans. By leveraging players' identities, notifications can be tailored to deliver content that resonates most with each fan.
Newsfeed for Exclusive Content
If you’ve read our Litepaper, you’ll know that we plan to build a Decentralised Ads Network powered by player identity. This Newsfeed feature will be our first sandbox to experiment with that. It can host social media posts, videos, and exclusive content like behind-the-scenes clips or vlogs that can be gated to holders of a specific asset or premium subscribers.
The Newsfeed and Broadcast Notification feature will be connected to our Ads Network. Brands can soon broadcast news and ads across XBorg apps that opt-in. All payment flows will be in XBG, with the value split between XBorg, the app owners, and the end-users.
Why This Matters
These aren’t incremental improvements but foundational changes that will help our partners build immersive consumer crypto apps. For fans, this means richer, more personalised interactions powered by player identity. For our community, this highlights our ongoing commitment to scaling the XBorg protocol and increasing the utility and demand for XBG. Unique Gaming ExperiencesFan Apps are just the beginning. From next-gen games to AI companion apps, built by us or by others, all powered by our Player Identity Protocol. We're ushering in a new era of gaming, where each player has unique experiences based on who they are.
